IMF Summer Internship Program

IMF Tokyo Office - Summer Internship Program The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Regional Office for
Asia and thePacific, based in Tokyo, is accepting applications for two Internship positions during summer 2008. The Internships are intended to provide graduate students with an opportunity to experience working for an international organization and learn about the IMF.

The period of the internship will be 6-8 weeks
during July - September 2008.

A daily stipend will be provided to the Summer Interns as remuneration.

The following two Summer Intern positions will be open to the qualified candidates:

a. Economist Intern:
Work closely with IMF economists on a current research topic.

b. External Relations Intern:
Work with the external relations
manager on??projects related to public affairs/outreach.

Qualifications and Requirements
All candidates are expected to have an excellent command of English and good software and data management skills. For non-Japanese nationals, please confirm with your institution that
your visa status allows you to accept a paid internship.

1) Economist Intern - Graduate student in a macroeconomics-related field * Please submit a 1 page research project summary with your application.
2) EXR Intern - Graduate student of communications or a related field
